Side Stories Presents: The Lightning Conductor Discovers America
Molly writes and rides again!
Molly and Jack are back in this 1916 sequel to The Lightning Conductor, again written by Charles Norris (C.N.) and Alice Muriel (A.M.) Williamson. This time the dynamic duo are visiting America for a tour of the East Coast, but get tangled up in the fortunes and love lives of other passengers aboard their America-bound steamboat along the way. Expect more travelogue, comedy, romance, mystery, and melodrama!
The Lightning Conductor Discovers America will be posted only on the Side Stories Substack. From the Literary Letters page, you can select Manage Subscription under your profile icon to subscribe.
The first letter will be March 15 and the last will be May 17, creating a slight overlap with the beginning of The Sorrows of Young Werther on the main Literary Letters Substack (luckily those entries are short at first, so it shouldn’t be too hard to read both). Be aware that Molly and company do not provide exact dates for most of their letters, so I had to estimate based on context clues.
Thanks to Project Gutenberg and Distributed Proofreaders for providing the text for this work of public domain literature - and many, many others.
